| Several years ago I photographed Jenessa in a fairly romantic setting, emphasizing her softness, youth, and femininity. When I had the opportunity to photograph her again this year I wanted to work with her in her own environment: the theater. This is her space, and I am but a momentary intruder. These photographs show a very different Jenessa than the earlier series. We are all a complex combination of qualities. I appreciate being able to capture several aspects of this very talented woman. |
